This shows superb finesse and balance with wonderful, harmonious fruit and tannin tones that give the wine purity and focus. Dried spices, blackberries, walnuts and tile. Deep, contained structure with pure, fine tannins. The finish is incredible and goes on for minutes. A blend of 56% syrah, 31% carmenere, and 13% cabernet sauvignon. From biodynamically grown grapes. One for the cellar. Better after 2022, but already fantastic.

The 2017 Red Blend Gê is a blend of 56% Syrah, 31% Carménère and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon from Viñedo Los Robles in Colchagua. Aged in new and used barrels and concrete eggs for 16 months, it is an intense garnet color with a woody nose initially followed by spices, black currant and blackberry over a bed of herbs. Open and complex, the palate is relaxed with a well-calibrated structure brought by the lengthy maceration and fine-grained tannins. Grows deeper and more expressive once opened for a little while. A well-made, oxidative wine.

The pricey 2017 Gê is a blend of 56% Syrah, 31% Carmenere and 13% Cabernet Sauvignon of organic and biodynamic grapes from Colchagua. It is ripe and generously oaked, which gives it a slightly international personality. It has plenty of tannins and a dry finish, which at this age should have been polished by time in bottle. Will they get polished with some more time? 13,320 bottles were filled in October 2018.
