Lots of Lynch character to this wine, with a full body and blackcurrant, dark-chocolate, tar and lean-pencil character. Full and flavorful. Solid center-palate. Second wine. Nicely put together. 56% merlot and 44% cabernet sauvignon." 05/22

The second wine of Château Lynch-Bages, the 2021 Echo De Lynch-Bages is well worth seeking out and matches many a Grand Vin out there. Giving up lots of red and black fruits, chocolate, and tobacco notes, it's medium-bodied, has good concentration, a ripe, mouth-filling texture, and a great finish. For a second wine, the tannins are incredibly polished and fine.

Reserved in style, with a hint of alder out front, followed by gently mulled black cherry and currant fruit. Shows subtle tugs of earth and bay leaf that run underneath, blossoming a bit through the dark finish. Solid. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2025 through 2035. 13,800 cases made.
Vinous

The 2021 Echo Lynch Bages is a dark brooding wine in this vintage. There is a good deal of depth, but also some rough edges that need polishing. Echo is neither finessed nor charming today, but that is what elevage is for.

Offering up aromas of minty cassis and blackberries mingled with loamy soil, the 2021 Echo de Lynch-Bages is a medium to full-bodied, lively and charming wine that's nicely balanced, but not especially deep or penetrating.
