Bold black fruits and a big structure highlight this full-bodied wine.Well-concentrated blackberries and black cherries form the core, while subtle accents of mint and anise dance around the edges. Despite 50% new barrels, the wine is not overly oaky, and lets the pure power of the grape variety shine through.

A deep opaque red with garnet at the rim, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Cherry Block is aromatic of baked red plums, melding spices, and leather. Full-bodied, it's ripe with tannins that are softening out already and has notes of decaying earth and cocoa powder. It's in a good place for drinking now.

Very direct, with a jammy-edged core of blackberry and cherry notes backed by sweet toast and a hint of Christmas pudding. Drink now through 2023. 1,211 cases made.
