Redcurrant and tile with some clove. Dark stone, too. Medium-bodied with some fresh herbs and dried thyme. Medium, ripe tannins. Fresh, creamy finish. A blend of 93% cabernet sauvignon with petite sirah and cabernet franc. Drink or hold.

This well-balanced, moderately tannic wine offers black fruits, oak spice and a lightly gripping texture, all in good proportions. Its a pleasurable wine that shows the typical, attractive black cherries, black olives and hints of baking spices

Shows a light mesquite edge that mingles with gently mulled plum and blackberry fruit flavors, while lightly singed vanilla and tobacco fill in through the finish. Reveals a solid graphite spine, too. Drink now through 2033. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 28,595 cases made.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is solid, with impressive plum and currant fruits as well as cigar box, cedar, and chocolaty notes. Rich, medium-bodied, and balanced, with outstanding length, it should keep nicely for 10-12 years.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a fruity, easygoing wine to drink now and over the next handful of years, with pleasant sweet red berry fruit, spice, flowers and pipe tobacco. This is a lighter style than most years, but intense heat dictated picking on the early side. All things considered, this is very nicely balanced.

BV's 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley features modest cherry fruit and some herbal notes. While it's medium to full-bodied, it's lacking concentration, coming across as silky enough but lacking mid-palate richness and depth. Not bad for the price, I guess.
